In February 2023, while attending the annual conference of presidents of the CAUE network, Franck Boutté looked back at key narratives underpinning the studio: From mitigation to adaptation, anticipating, climate inequalities, the South on the horizon, and from the colossal to the intimate.

What is the CAUE?

The Architecture, Urban Planning, and Environment Council (CAUE) is a public-interest body whose aim is to promote the quality of architecture, city planning, and the environment in French departments (administrative regions). The CAUE emerged through the initiative of local leaders and is chaired by a local elected official. The CAUE works at every scale, from the smallest lot to the largest region.
