Grand Paris public spaces' book, TVK
Book

The book Places du Grand Paris is the work of a team of designers, researchers and specialists led by TVK and comprising TN+, Soline Nivet, Ville Ouverte, Antoine Fleury, Géraldine Texier-Rideau, Etienne Ballan, ON, RR&A, Yes We Camp and Atelier Franck Boutté. Conceived as a design guide, it is the result of a three-year study of the public spaces of Greater Paris. The aim of this work is to build a common culture of public spaces around the Grand Paris Express, shared by the Société du Grand Paris and Ile-de-France Mobilités and all the project owners and contractors. This culture is based on the conviction that public space must be designed in its multiple dimensions, both in the thickness of its ground and in the depth of its temporalities.
To communicate the elements of this culture in an open and inclusive way, the book combines practical and theoretical content, based on a varied iconographic corpus (drawings, photographs, models, documents, maps), conveying the public space as an imaginary and an evolving field of experimentation.
