Every year, EnerJ Meeting organizes an event revolving around the subjects of energy and environmental efficiency for buildings. In 2024, the day took place in central Paris, at the Carrousel du Louvre, and was attended by industry professionals, experts, and decision-makers who came to share their knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions around sustainability in construction and building management.

Conferences, workshops, and round tables took place, in which Franck Boutté participated for a keynote entitled: “Mitigation and Adaptation: What Sustainability Strategies Do We Have?”

Among other things, he set out his vision of a necessary paradigm shift. Indeed, it’s no longer a question of focusing solely on the principles of mitigation and decarbonization in the design of new buildings, but turning our attention to existing stock in a bid to adapt. Eighty per cent of the buildings we need in 2050 already exist: let’s adapt them to the climate they will be living in then.
