Festival de la Ville 2023: Extrem City

Founded in 2019 by Matthieu Poitevin following the collapse of buildings on Marseille’s Rue d’Aubagne, the Va Jouer Dehors! organization is driven by the idea of rethinking our approach to the city in view of planning better instead of fixing when it breaks.

After the first edition of the Festival de la Ville in 2022, the nonprofit Va Jouer Dehors returned with the 2023 edition: Extrem’City. It invited architects, urban planners, elected officials, developers, writers, artists, philosophers, journalists, citizens, and Franck Boutté to take a fresh look at the city and propose concrete, unifying projects.
