At the invitation of GHU Paris Psychiatry & Neurosciences, Atelier Franck Boutté took part in the Sustainable Construction Seminar organised by the Engineering, Works, Maintenance and Estates Department (DITMP).

Held on the historic Perray-Vaucluse Hospital campus in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois, the seminar brought together GHU teams to discuss the sustainable transformation of the hospital estate. Florence Capoulade, Project Director at Atelier Franck Boutté, presented two projects developed in collaboration with the GHU.

The first presentation focused on Au Fil du Bois, a new nursing home located within the Perray-Vaucluse campus.

Designed in close dialogue with the surrounding protected woodland, the project aims to provide a calm and high-quality living environment for its future residents while delivering ambitious environmental performance.

The building is designed to exceed the current RE2020 requirements for energy, carbon and summer comfort, and targets several certifications and labels, including Bâtiment Durable Francilien (Bronze level), Level 1 of the French Biobased Building Label, NF Habitat HQE Excellent and BiodiverCity®.

The second presentation focused on the GHU Environmental Estate and Architectural Masterplan (SDIAE).

Since summer 2025, Atelier Franck Boutté has been supporting the GHU in integrating environmental ambitions into its estate and architectural masterplan. The commission aims to develop a coherent and operational environmental strategy tailored to the diversity of the hospital sites, their specific uses and the challenges they face.

Based on an assessment of the existing estate, site visits and a multi-criteria methodology, the strategy integrates climate, energy, environmental and user-experience considerations into the GHU's long-term development plans.

Beyond these presentations, the seminar also highlighted initiatives promoting the circular economy in the healthcare sector, including the work of Proclus, specialising in the refurbishment of technical equipment, and Premys, a specialist in sustainable deconstruction and material recovery.

Atelier Franck Boutté warmly thanks GHU Paris Psychiatry & Neurosciences and the teams of the DITMP for their invitation and their continued trust.
