Winner of the competition to convert the former Goas Plat middle school in Paimpol into housing
Paimpol, 02.02.2025

Alongside the agencies Louis Téqui and Andma Architectes, and project owner Kaufman & Broad Bretagne, the team plans to breathe new life into this former place of learning by making the most of its existing potential.
The project involves multiple objectives:
- Reusing the existing: Showcasing the potential of a former educational site while respecting its history
- Preserving and renaturing: Protecting the remarkable tree heritage and redesigning the site to enhance its landscape quality
- Optimizing the structure: Leveraging a sound and efficient post-and-slab base to ensure a lasting transformation
- Promoting bio-based materials: Meeting environmental requirements with adapted, sustainable construction choices
- Creating tailored diversity: Developing a diverse residential program aligned with local needs
This project, combining rehabilitation and innovation, also marks a first for Atelier Franck Boutté, as it aims to meet the standards of the Bâtiment Durable Breton benchmark.
