Mondo receives the HQE Excellent certification
Paris, 30.01.2025

Located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, Mondo is a rehabilitation and merging project of two buildings totaling 32,000 m². Designed by Béchu Associés, it perfectly illustrates the potential to transform existing structures into virtuous, high-performing, and resilient workspaces. Atelier Franck Boutté supported the environmental approach.
This HQE Excellent certification rewards a pioneering approach focused on:
- Urban biodiversity: cool patios, green roofs, urban agriculture, and a biodiversity refuge encouraging the return of ecosystems to the city.
- Carbon footprint reduction: use of bio-based and local materials, timber structures for certain rebuilt parts, and a circular approach to material reuse.
- Optimized resource management: rainwater recovery and management, high-performance dual-flow ventilation, and rooftop photovoltaic panels.
- User well-being: maximized natural light, thermal comfort, and optimized indoor air quality (enhanced ventilation rates, limited VOCs, CO₂ management).
- Sustainable mobility: areas dedicated to soft mobility (bicycles, electric vehicle charging), promoting low-carbon alternatives.
Ambitious certifications for an ambitious project:
-
