First National Straw Construction Congress in Poitiers

Following the Pro Paille PAILLE training course one of our employees took and membership to the Réseau Français de la Construction Paille (French Straw Construction Network) at the end of last year, this is a further milestone that will help Julian Marcadet, a student at the Ecole Supérieure du Bois ESB, with his end-of-year project, under the direction of Aymeric Anquetin, on the characterization and impact of straw in numerical simulations, and the resulting benefits on comfort, hygrometric regulation, energy requirements, and carbon impact.

• What were the objectives? To better understand this material and its behavior, to support architects, design offices, and project managers in design and implementation, and to reduce the environmental impact of our projects by improving quality of use.
