Building permit submitted for the Croizat-Houël block
Vénissieux, 16.01.2025

Winner of a competition in 2024, the Croizat-Houël block project is moving forward with the recent submission of its building permit. Developed alongside Brenac & Gonzalez et Associés, this 120-unit housing program will redefine the entrance to the city of Vénissieux while respecting its heritage and environment.
Located in the heart of a complex urban fabric, the project draws on the site’s unique topography to create a dialogue between architecture, nature, and uses. It is part of a comprehensive approach, establishing a direct link with the nearby Louis Dupic Park and strengthening the urban green network.
The goal: to contribute to the renaturation of the area and the restoration of biodiversity.
Atelier Franck Boutté is integrating ambitious environmental solutions to go beyond existing standards:
- Grand Lyon Habitat Durable 2022 benchmark, ensuring high-quality and high-performance housing
- Exceeding RE2020 requirements for carbon impact and energy consumption:
- Icconstruction ≤ IcconstructionmaxRE2025
- Icénergie ≤ IcénergiemaxRE2025
- Cep,nr < Cep,nr max RE2020 – 10%
- Level 2 Biosourced Building Label, highlighting the use of renewable materials
In synergy with our partners, our involvement helped define an environmental strategy that strengthens the project’s overall coherence while placing user experience and well-being at the core of the design process.
For a bioclimatic architecture that combines aesthetics, comfort, and efficiency—with façades adapted to orientations, generous balconies, and terraces that extend the living space outward.
