Franck Boutté
/ Founding Chairman
Franck Boutté, founder and chairman of Atelier Franck Boutté (AFB), graduated in civil engineering from the Ponts et Chaussées engineering school (1988–1992) before spending four years training at the UNO studio at Paris-Belleville national architecture school, which he left before graduating to kick-start his professional career.
It was this background that inspired him to fuse these two worlds, which he considers complementary and inseparable, and tackle the transdisciplinary exploration of environmental and sustainability challenges.

Elie Getz
/ Chief executive
Holding degrees in public law from ENS Lyon and Panthéon-Assas University, Elie Getz joined the Atelier in December 2024 as Managing Director. He was previously President of Talents&Co, where he specialized in the development of major architecture agencies.
Convinced that the environmental challenge requires a sustainable and ambitious urban transformation, Elie Getz trained at the Carbone 4 Academy, where he developed his expertise in energy and ecological transition issues. At the Atelier, he supports the team in meeting the challenges of the transition, strengthening the Atelier’s ambition, and maintaining its position as a pioneer in its areas of excellence.

Sylvie Ducret
/ Chief Administrative Officer
Working alongside Franck right from the start, Sylvie was there to watch the studio take its first steps. Her significant contribution to the company’s growth through the years earned her the position of chief administrative officer. Responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of customer accounts, she helps maintain the studio’s financial stability by fostering solid, transparent relationships. She is also involved in strategic decision-making for the business, be it in the areas of human resources, finance, or general organization.

André-Marie Dogbo
/ Director of Studies
André-Marie earned his Master’s in civil engineering and large structures from French engineering school École nationale supérieure des mines d’Alès (IMT Mines Alès). Before joining Atelier Franck Boutté, he gained over 17 years’ experience at various companies, including CTMNC (Centre Technique de Matériaux Naturels de Construction), ARP Astrance, Alten SA, and Setec Bâtiment. In September 2021, he was appointed director of studies specializing in environmental design and digital modeling.

Alix Derouin
/ Director of Communications and Development
Alix joined Atelier Franck Boutté as director of communications and development in 2022. After graduating from the Sorbonne with a Master’s degree in modern literature then attending a theater school, Alix pursued a career as an actress before turning her focus to communications, earning a Master’s degree in institutional communications and the sociology of ICTs from the Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée. After positions at the Théâtre de Chaillot, Saint-Cloud town hall and I3F, she joined Arte Charpentier in 2015 to develop the agency’s communications division. Strongly involved in the fight for gender parity, she is an active supporter of the MEMO collective, a movement to promote equity in the construction industry.

Elisabeth Rabaud
/ Human Resources Manager/Executive Assistant
After 10 years in operations and administrative roles working at a number of 4- and 5-star Parisian hotels, Elisabeth joined Atelier Franck Boutté in June 2021 as office manager. Her responsibilities included ensuring the office facilities were running smoothly and handling routine HR and accounting administrative tasks. Thanks to her excellent rapport with the personnel and already dealing with their general well-being and skills development, she was appointed Human Resources Manager in 2024.

Frédéric Myard
/ Chief Financial Officer
Frédéric joined Atelier Franck Boutté as an interim CFO in October 2015. After earning an economics and accounting degree, Frédéric went into teaching before joining an audit and accounting firm, then moved into the chemical industry, real estate, and industrial property consulting. In 2006, Frédéric set up his own business, offering interim CFO services to SMEs.

Sébastien Hascoët
/ Graphic Designer
After several years as a designer for an architectural firm on a freelance basis, Sébastien joined our studio. After participating in the environmental engineering aspect of multiple projects, he has since devoted most of his time to the graphic design of sustainable development concepts and the popularization of technical systems developed by the firm’s engineers.

Elise Lenoble
/ Communications Manager
Trained in environmental protection after a professional stint at Greenpeace, Elise then went traveling for several years. It was the combination of these two experiences that prompted Elise to focus her career on protecting the planet and the well-being of its inhabitants.
She first worked for a zero-waste operator, and then in sustainable smallholding, fishing, and animal husbandry, before switching to architecture and urban planning, a whole new area of action for her.
Project Directors

Mohamed Benzerzour
/ Project Director
Mohamed Benzerzour is an architect, a doctor in engineering science (earning a PhD from the University of Nantes), an experienced research lecturer at various architecture schools, and a consultant in the fields of environmental design and sustainable development. He has been project director at Atelier Franck Boutté since 2008. He has worked on multiple projects, including Montpellier 2040, Ivry Confluence, and Grand Paris Post Kyoto. In addition, he has published a number of articles in scientific journals and proceedings of international conferences on the themes of ambience, morphoclimatic characterization, and environmental engineering.

Maxime Grigaut
/ Project Director
A state-certified architect (“DPLG” in France), Maxime holds 15 years’ experience in the fields of landscape, architecture, engineering, and sustainable development. He brings his project management skills and cross-disciplinary technical expertise in energy performance to climate environments. He loves to share his experience in defining the challenges of the energy transition and urban and landscape issues, combining a granular approach to managing environments with his knowledge of thermal, air flow, and lighting simulation tools and software.

Loïc Chesne
/ Project Director
A 1996 graduate of the University of Maine (now Le Mans University), Loïc brought 16 years’ experience in engineering, urban planning, sustainable development, and acoustics relating to urban and building projects when he joined Atelier Franck Boutté in September 2015. He also works with various institutions, such as the HQE Association, AFNOR (standards organization), Club Ville Aménagement (French organization that brings together professionals involved in urban development and planning), and the Communauté d’Agglomération de Grenoble (Grenoble association of metropolitan areas).

Aymeric Anquetin
/ Project Director & Operations Manager Grand-Ouest Region
Aymeric is a graduate engineer from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (north France), specializing in urban systems, and brings 14 years’ experience in project management and environmental technical design (thermal, lighting, comfort, and carbon studies). At the studio since 2017, he has worked on numerous projects such as the Sciences-Po rehabilitation, the Porte de la Chapelle Paris Olympics 2024 Arena, and the Cité des Arts in Montpellier. Since September 2021, he has been in charge of developing the Grand-Ouest regional office. “Pro Paille” certified (using straw as a construction material), he contributes to the studio’s growing expertise in bio-based materials, through training courses and research projects such as FAIRE.
Project Management

Florence Capoulade
/ Project Manager
A graduate in architecture from top architecture school ENSA Paris Val de Seine and from the DPEA Architecture Post-Carbone postgraduate program at architecture school ENSAVT in Marne la Vallée, Florence joined the agency in 2016 for the Haussmann—Modèle de Ville exhibition alongside LAN. Since then, she has worked on the environmental design aspects of multiple public competitions (Lots 4 & 5 of the Girondins Development Area in Lyon; Tour Rives de Seine–Natixis in Paris 12; Paris OG 2024 Media Cluster; Réinventer Paris; IMGP); studies or study management (ISM in Dakar; thermal-airflow study for the Réenchanter les Champs Elysées exhibition with PCA Stream), PMA certification project management (restructuring of the Capital 8 building); environmental specifications for larger-scale projects (strategic environmental planning for the 217 ON AIR film studios, CPAUPE (architecture, urban, landscape, and environmental guidelines for the Porte des Alpes campus in Lyon); and site monitoring following the HEQ approach (Maison Radio France).

Kevin Bâcle
/ Project Manager
An engineer specializing in energy and environment in relation to buildings, Kévin has been providing his skills since 2017 in the areas of project management, environmental technical design, thermal, ventilation, and visual comfort of environments, and monitoring certifications. Working in both the design and construction phases, his cross-functional skills have been expanded through his oversight on diverse projects such as the rehabilitation of the Nuage Towers in Nanterre, the Media Village for the 2024 Olympic Games, and the Hermès leather goods factory in Louviers (Level E4C2). He is also an Energy-Carbon® advisor,BDB® advisor, and Passif® designer. He also teaches at the IUT de Rennes technology school on the civil engineering and sustainable construction program. Since 2021, he has been in charge of operations in Brittany.

Sonia Bouafia
/ Project Manager
A graduate in sustainable construction project management from the CESI school for engineers, architects, and urban planners in Nanterre, Sonia joined Atelier Franck Boutté in 2021. She has been involved in numerous projects, including the restructure of AXA’s head office, the Scène des Loges project on Quai de Grenelle (Paris), and the Messageries mixed-use development. She also worked on ESt-Ensemble’s inclusive and sustainable housing charter.

Bertrand Bethune
/ Project Manager
Bertrand joined Atelier Franck Boutté in 2023 as building project manager, focused on both refurbishment and new-build projects. He obtained his DESS (postgraduate diploma) in 2003 from the University of Cergy-Pontoise. After three years as an energy advisor at IDEMU, he worked for 12 years at Socotec as a building environmental quality consultant, then as a regional advisor for building energy efficiency, followed by two years at EPI as project manager in charge of environmental activities.

Tomás Castillo
/ Project Manager
Tomás studied to be a generalist engineer, which he combined with a specialization in construction during a year studying in Brazil at the University of Sao Paulo and Arts et Métier Paristech, where he obtained his engineering degree in 2014. He went on to complete a specialized Master’s degree in eco-construction at the Catholic University of Chile, and in December 2023 finalized a specialized Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Project Management at the École des Ponts et Chaussées. He has had various international experiences as an engineer, and cycled over 3,000 kilometers across Chile. He joined Atelier Franck Boutté in June 2023 as a project manager.

Antonio Torres
/ Project Manager
A state-certified architect (“DPLG” in France), Antonio has more than 25 years of practice in the field of architecture, both in the design and implementation oversight phases. For 12 years, he has been heavily involved in the field of sustainable development, particularly for projects in the construction phase, ensuring implementation oversight aligns with the standards required by project owners such as: energy efficiency commitments and BREEAM, LEADS, and HQE certifications.
He shares his experience when exploring technical, regulatory, and contractual aspects of construction that fall under the responsibility of the project management team.

Léna Savoldelli
/ Project Manager
Léna is an engineer specializing in building, planning and development, and architecture; she holds a degree from engineering school Ecole des Hautes Études d’Ingénieur in Lille. After two and a half years with Trans-Faire as a sustainable building and development engineer, she joined Atelier Franck Boutté as project manager for the City and Region division. In addition to the technical dimension of her work, Léna is particularly interested in the visual and educational aspects.

Julien Despax
/ Project Manager
Julien studied urban systems engineering at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (northern France), specializing in environmental planning and engineering. He joined Atelier Franck Boutté in February 2019 as a design engineer, becoming a project engineer in August 2022. He is now based at the Rennes office as a project manager.

Cyril Tron de Bouchony
/ Project Manager
Cyril earned his engineering degree from the Ecole des Mines in Douai (northern France), with a minor in energy engineering and strategic business management. He then completed a specialized Masters in positive energy buildings at the same school, then followed that studying hygrothermal transfers of building envelopes and WUFI software in Boston. He joined the Nantes office in 2019 as a project lead before he was appointed project manager in 2024.

Matteo Migliari
/ Project manager
An engineer and architect (dual degree from École des Ponts ParisTech and Milan Polytechnic), Matteo combines his multi-criteria analytical approach to the design of built projects, stemming from his academic training, experience at design offices, and his interest in parametric design researched for his dissertation since joining Atelier Frank Boutté in January 2020. He is responsible for research and innovation in areas such as urban heat islands and the thermal comfort of outdoor spaces, linked to the challenge of the adaptation of cities to climate change. His experience meant he was the right person for the job of leading the development of the MESH 2 C research project.

Mauro Contreras
/ Lead Consultant
Mauro joined the team in November 2020, as a lead consultant on building science and environmental simulation. During his 15 years’ experience, he has coordinated and carried out energy analyses in various interdisciplinary teams, ranging from the Solar Decathlon student design challenge to world-class projects designed by award-winning architectural firms. Since returning to France in 2020, Mauro has found in Atelier Franck Boutté the ideal place to continue learning, developing, and testing the most advanced methodologies in environmental design.

Fatima Aharcham
/ Project Manager
Fatima is a graduate engineer in building and civil engineering from the EHTP engineering school in Morocco. She began her career in 2012 where she held several positions at CTR, Sadet, Morocco’s national railway operator ONCF, and Al Omrane, a development holding company based in Rabat. In 2021, she moved to France to complete her education, and in 2022 she obtained her Master’s in energy transition and regions from the Ecole des Ponts Paris Tech. Following this, she was hired by SustainEcho, where she completed her end-of-studies internship, before joining Atelier Franck Boutté.

Ghadi Hayek
/ Project Lead
Ghadi joined Atelier Franck Boutté in 2022 as an architect-urban planner to work on the Pistes de Michelin project in Clermont-Ferrand. He graduated in architecture in Beirut and went on to study urban planning and project management at science and engineering school ENPC in Paris.

Olivier Detroit
/ Project Lead
A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-la-Villette architecture school and the Advanced Master’s in the spatial planning and urban development (AMUR) program at the Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées, Olivier has worked in urban planning agencies on urban renewal and city center revitalization projects, urban programming and enhancement studies, and strategic studies for intermunicipal projects. He specializes in urban ecological transition projects and was a natural fit for Atelier Franck Boutté’s Cities and Regions division in 2024.

Adam Postal
/ Design Engineer
Adam graduated from UTC with a degree in urban systems engineering, which he extended with a one year Master’s in energy transition at the Ecole des Ponts ParisTech. He specializes in environmental subjects related to urban projects and the interactions between land use planning and sustainable mobility. After an initial two years’ experience in a design office, he joined our studio in 2023 to work on the City and Regions projects, and more specifically on energy-carbon and thermal comfort issues.
Technical Studies

Nestor Canu
/ Design Engineer
With an engineering degree in civil and urban engineering from INSA Rennes (National Institute of Applied Sciences), followed by a dual degree program in architecture at ENSAB engineering school in Brittany, Nestor joined the studio for an end-of-studies internship in January 2023 before he was taken on as a design engineer in August 2023. He applies his technical abilities to carry out life cycle assessments, thermal regulatory studies, and bioclimatic studies.

Arslène Ammour
/ Design Engineer
Arslène graduated from EPF engineering school with a major in sustainable engineering and architecture after first completing a work-study program at a small business in Paris. He joined Atelier Franck Boutté as a design engineer in 2023.

Ashwin Soobhug
/ Design Engineer
Ashwin holds a Master’s degree in energy and environment with a specialization in the building industry from Sorbonne University, formerly Pierre and Marie Curie University. After gaining experience in regulatory building certification working for a property developer, Ashwin joined Atelier Franck Boutté’s Bordeaux office in October 2022 to diversify his skills and get involved in more renovation projects. His responsibilities include carrying out studies on carbon impact (LCA), thermal and energy comfort, and lighting. He also works on certifications such as High Environmental Quality (HQE).

Marion Baudu
Design Engineer /
Marion graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussée with a degree in Civil Engineering and Construction and completed a double degree in Architecture at the ENSAPM (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Malaquais). After an end-of-study internship at Elioth on the subject of summer comfort, she joined the agency in October 2024 as a design engineer. She specialises in thermal, energy, carbon and comfort issues.
