Within the Belvédère consortium alongside the TER Agency, Zeyen + Baumann, Schroeder & associés, our studio was selected to participate in the strategic reprogramming project of the Belval district in Luxembourg.

It’s the site of a technology hub that has gradually been developed on a 120-hectare brownfield site since the steel industry packed up in the 1990s. While most of the mixed district has already been completed, our project owners, the Belval Fund and Agora, wanted to adjust Belval’s programming and, more generally, reexamine the district in terms of its functioning and its future in the light of contemporary issues.

This was an opportunity for us to carry out studies on an exceptional example of brownfield reconversion, city–industry synergies, large-scale functional and ecological balances... and to forge a new path that aligns with new climate regimes.
